I always need 2 front desk receptionists at my clinic, but now I only have 1. I’m looking for an American to hire, but unemployment in the USA now is at the lowest rate it’s ever been, so it’s difficult to find workers
Shortly after the war started, I sponsored Hanna Panasovska, from Zaporizhzhia, who was working at a hair transplant center, on a U4U visa to come to work at my LASEK clinic. I made 2 mistakes hiring her: her English was only “advanced-intermediate” not “advanced”, and she didn’t need LASEK herself or have any sales experience, so wasn’t good at “selling” LASEK to customers (it’s elective surgery & costs them $5000)
After receiving a salary of $3000/month & getting free basic housing in the basement of our office, Hanna decided she didn’t like working as a medical receptionist, so she quit & is now staying with some relatives.
