Position Overview
The Customs Program Manager will be the cornerstone of our Customs Compliance efforts, bringing deep subject matter expertise to our team. This role involves driving the expansion of our Customs module, engaging with customers and industry stakeholders, and contributing to our business development initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a proactive mindset, a passion for innovation, and strong self-organization and project management skills.
• The role is hybrid with in-office and at-home flexibility M-F
• Extensive Travel is not usual, but may on a rare occasion be required
Key Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance on Customs Compliance, ensuring our solutions are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Engagement: Support business development by attending conferences, engaging with customers, and identifying new opportunities for our Customs solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to SEIA thought-leadership initiatives on driving improvements in the space of trade compliance.
- Innovation: Work together with our technical teams to oversee the continuous improvement of our Customs module and drive the implementation of innovative ideas to improve our offerings.
- Project Management: Work together with our solution consultants to manage and drive projects forward, ensuring timely and effective delivery of solutions and subject matter support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of customs experience, or a minimum of 4 years of customs experience without a degree.
- Language: English language fluency is required, knowledge of German or another European language is a plus.
Skills
- Strong project management abilities and a proven track record of driving projects to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and industry stakeholders.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
