Job requirements

• knowledge about assembling and disassemble motors, valves and pomps. Revision of main engine.
• assembling the equipments onboard of the ship.
• knowledge of how to use specific tools.
• Teamwork / individual work based on the job.
• studies the assembly documentation, positions and joins the components.
• checks with appropriate tools the correctness of joints, performs dimensional control and makes final adjustments;
• perform idle and load tests, identifying and correcting deficiencies.
• daily monitors the operation of machines and equipment in order to identify malfunctions;
• performs current maintenance works according to the specific prescriptions of each machine;
• diagnoses, through functional testing and measurement with measuring devices, the agreement between work parameters and functional requirements;
• fixes adjustment deficiencies, eliminates sources of noise, vibrations, dust, harmful gases, etc.
• adjusts the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanisms to comply with the specified functional parameters.

Education and Experience

• Vocational school/professional/related technical studies;
• Previous professional experience in production: 3-5 years;
• Experience in overhauling equipment: engines, pumps, valves.
