HCL is looking for an UI/UX Desiger
UI Designer
As a UI Designer you will be responsible for user interface design and guideline development in digital channels such as webstores across Fiskars Group key brands globally. You will participate in driving Fiskars strategic targets by translating design concepts and wireframes into beautiful, polished and accessible user interfaces showcasing our heritage brands towards consumers. You are confident working with and building design systems and libraries while respecting the unique visual branding guidelines of multiple brands in the Fiskars Group portfolio. As a UI Designer and CX Team member you follow closely the design and technology trends within your area of expertise and act as a design thinking and agile methodology advocate within the wider organization. You are a team player used to working in global, cross-functional, fast paced teams with the common goal to support business growth. Close cooperation with and understanding of operational areas in Sales & Marketing are essential to your role.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Designing polished user interfaces and UI components based on wireframes and concepts for a variety of brands in the Fiskars Group portfolio with unique visual style guidelines
· Managing and further developing style guidelines, design systems and libraries for company-wide use for Fiskars Group key brands, owning the area together with UX Designers
· Supporting Frontend Developers in feature implementation and participating in visual testing during it to ensure that the end result corresponds to the design while being also technically feasible
· Ensuring that UI designs follow industry best practices and meet accessibility standards
· Designing alternative UI variations for tests such as A/B tests
· Proactively suggesting design related improvements to UI components or user flows to support business growth
· Supporting and guiding stakeholders in matters regarding your area of expertise and connecting with peers in other areas of the organization
· Establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships that foster staying up-to-date with general industry best practices, emerging trends, technologies and tools
To succeed in this position, you have at least four years of experience working in a comparable role. User and business centricity as well as data & insights guide your thinking while ideating and designing solutions for various user interaction challenges. You have extensive knowledge of web design, responsive design, visual design and accessibility and you excel with one or more industry tools such as Sketch, Figma and/ or AdobeXD. An understanding of the common programming frameworks used in user interface design such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript is favourable.
You thrive working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and are confident with effectively prioritizing and carrying out tasks in an agile day-to-day setup without extensive supervision. You communicate and present your work & related thinking clearly and enthusiastically, mindfully adapting your written and verbal presentation style to suit the needs of various audiences and situations.
