Position Summary: The MHPSS / Child Protection Officer is expected to provide psychosocial support while at the same time being able to identify vulnerabilities and refer them to other appropriate service providers.
Responsibilities
· Psychosocial Services-Psychological Aid Provision
o Providing Counseling, Guidance in individual / group sessions
o Ensure referrals internally and externally
o Identify vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid
o Provide full case management to the beneficiaries
o Provide comprehensive package of Psychological Aid Services to the beneficiaries
o Participate in outreach activities
o Provide information on services, benefits etc. to refugees during outreach activities
o Follows the psychologist’s/ social worker’s code of conduct additionally to the other policies and procedures of the Foundation
o Reports to Team Leader
· Case-related info management
o Filling and registering all cases and actions to the reporting lists
o Brief and Full Case Intake
o Updating the hard and electronic files per case
Required qualifications and skills
Essential
o Psychologist/ Social Worker/ Social Sciences Degree
o Psychologist/ Social Work license to work in Poland (or Ukraine)
o 1-year experience in relevant position
o Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues
o Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality
o Understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys, and girls
o Understanding of psychological needs and issues of survivors of Gender-based Violence
o Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility
o Computer literate (advanced understanding of basic applications, including MS Office and online tools)
o Well-organized and efficient
o Good interpersonal & communications skills
o Fluent in Ukrainian or Russian (for Psychologists)
o Fluent in Polish (for Social Workers)
o Good Knowledge of English
Desired
o Field Working Experience in entry points, Camps/Temporary Settlements, or mobile units serving the refugee population
o Knowledge of Ukrainian / Russian / Polish in addition to the main language of each place (see above) will be evaluated positively
o Previous experience in UN system (UNHCR, IOM, UNICEF) projects
